It is recommended that you uninstall previous v9 before you install a new version.

This version expires on June 30, 2010. Before this date, you will need to update to then newer version, or purchase the release version.

Supported OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 SP4/Server 2008/Server 2003

The portable version can be produced from the Import/Export wizard on the Tools menu after you use the installer. However, the portable version runs slower than the one using the Registry.

Re: EmEditor Professional v10 RC 14 (9.90.23)
I wanted to record a macro yesterday, however it seems that these commands are not recorded, is this true?

- Find in Files
- Find and Replace in Files

I wrote a macro manually which worked fine.

Regards,
Oliver

Hello owilsky,

Thank you for using EmEditor Professional.

Right, these commands are not recorded automatically. You will need to write macros manually.
Do you want EmEditor record these commands (Find in Files, etc.) automatically?

Well, it doesn't hurt, does it?

Hello owilsky,

Every feature hurts because they all contribute to larger program size, leading to bloated software. This is my policy that we want to make the software as lightweight as possible.

Re: EmEditor Professional v10 RC 14 (9.90.23)
I tried this RC release and have the horizontal scroll bar set to "Display only when necessary" and when i type beyond the right side of the window the horizontal scroll bar appear as i would expect. If i remove some characters or split the line into two lines so no line is beyond the right side of the window the horizontal scroll bar doesn't disappear again. Unless i'm wrong using version 9 i believe the horizontal scroll bar used to disappear again in this case....like the description says "Display only when necessary".

Not like this is actually a big problem, but found it worth to mention.

I understand.
But in my opinion this feature is really an important one and the complexity to write the macro manually is quite high because of the number of arguments.

Re: EmEditor Professional v10 RC 14 (9.90.23)
Hello gan,

Actually, the horizontal scroll bar may not always disappear when "No Wrap" is selected. This behavior is the same both v9 and v10. EmEditor will not try to find the longest line from a whole document in order to optimize the speed. Thus, EmEditor will expand the horizontal scrollable size, but will not shrink to the previous size.

Thank you!
