Hello maxim_2004,

Can you check if "XML" configuration is selected, and if so, can you check your configuration properties, and click Highlight (2) tab and see if <!-- and --> are set for the Begin and the End comments?

XML config seems to have correct settings, but problem is still observable.

No, I cannot reproduce this issue. Did you try on v10?
I would suggest you to reset all configurations, and can you try again?

Yes, the bug appears in my clean EmEditor 10.0 install on Win7 32bit.
