How to match text in multi-line? I want to match the text:
using my Regular Expression: Unfortunately, I found "(.*\n)+" did not work on EmEditor. But UltraEdit can do it very well with Unix style re. UE support Perl styel, Unix style and UltraEdit style Regular Expression syntax. I guess EE use Perl style Regular Expression. |

Re: How to match text in multi-line? I want to replace some text that spans multiple lines with some other text. If I copy the text across the lines I can't then paste it into the find box even though Use regular Expressions is checked.
I expected that the new lines would be automatically converted into \n. thanks Derek |

Re: How to match text in multi-line? Hi Derek,
You can check "Multiline" option on Find or Replace dialogue, then the text box will expand to multiline. Wish that helps. ![]() toadloading ![]() |
