Re: String Values Not Highlighted if Spread Across Lines - SQL Code I say yes.
But in what languages keeping the "Continue to Next Line" setting does not make sense I am curious? Let's apply the laws of democracy, if in most languages this setting does not make sense then let's keep it as is, but I doubt this is the case. |

Re: String Values Not Highlighted if Spread Across Lines - SQL Code Hello,
Please check the "Continue to Next Line" check box on the Highlight (2) tab of configuration properties. Should this be checked by default? Thanks!

String Values Not Highlighted if Spread Across Lines - SQL Code I do not know whether it is a bug in the EmEditor core or in its plugin engine or even it is possibly a defect in the highlighter definition (I just cannot dedicate time learning it), but I'll post here this as my question to rule out any doubt:
When I write SQL code in EmEditor I get no strings highlighted if they span more than one line and this is misleading developing code like that. I am showing examples next here for SQL Server Management Studio http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/221/sqlcodeinssms.png/ that does this properly versa EmEditor http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/715/sqlinemeditor.png/ that unfortunately does not. |
