Transfering customization to a new installation I have multiple users defined on my machine. I would like to have all accounts customized exactly the same. For that I would suggest to add the possibility of exporting to a file the customization from one account/machine and importing it to another account, possibly on a different machine.
Regards, Meir

Re: Transfering customization to a new installation Hello mguttman,
How about Tools menu > Import and Export? Please let me know if you have further questions. Thank you!

Re: Transfering customization to a new installation Thanks Yutaka,
Sorry, I missed it! I looked into it and a few settings do not seem to fit another machine. And I doubt very much that they will fit even another user on the SAME machine. In particular all file paths. How about "Import/Export with options", similar to the one you have for "Compare"? Check-boxes and text boxes that seem right are: * file paths Check-box (with a base path text-box) * Macros Check-box * Keyboard shortcuts Check-box * Display * ... etc. Would that be a significant effort? Re: Transfering customization to a new installation Opera does something like that in their ini files,
Quote: Keyboard Configuration={SmallPreferences}keyboard\2011_Keyboard__10.6+.ini Where {SmallPreferences} (in a normal install) would be equivalent to: %UserProfile%\Application Data\"Opera Folder Name that was installed to ProgramFiles" (e.g. 'Opera 10') or: %AppData%\"Opera Folder Name" And {Resources} -> %ProgramFiles%\"Opera Folder Name" |
