Portable and eeCommon.ini Hi Mister Emura,
i have downloaded your fine EmEditor 7.01 and played with it over the weekend. Now i want to start this editor on an another PC (portable = folder copied) but i get some error messages only and EmEditor didn't even want to start (what he should do in IMHO and ignore this kind of error ).The error was that the editor wants to start (or locate only ?) recent files found in the eeCommon.ini - file [Recent File List] File1=.\sortA.jsee.js File2=.\PlugIns\AutoAppend Readme.txt File3.... and that's why i get this MsgBoxes: --------------------------- EmEditor --------------------------- Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden. D:\EmEditor Professional 7\emed701epx_portable\PlugIns\AutoAppend Readme.txt --------------------------- OK --------------------------- But instead to use the relative path ".\file.ext" found in the eeCommon.ini, EmEditor puts the old path (from home) from somewhere (i didn't know right now where this info is stored) in front of the file name and makes that way an absolute path which not exist on THIS pc. My solution was to rename the eeCommon.ini - file. Then EmEditor starts. Just FYI Keep up the good work. Bye Stefan |
