I can’t reproduce what you are claiming in this case.
I’ve tried with both unix-LF and windows-CRLF files.

AString

	ANotherString

	YetAnotherString

	EvenMoreString

This Search: ([[:alnum:]]+)n
Replace: 1,

Results in:

AString, ANotherString, YetAnotherString, EvenMoreString
