On Windows 10 Simplified Chinese Edition, EmEditor 16.8.1 defaults to use a bitmap font (SimSun?) for the Find toolbar. Is is possible to use a better-looking font (Tahoma, or “MS Shell Dlg 2”) as in other dialogs? Thanks.
I have to make this an option for v16.9 because the new font will look small for Japanese and other language Windows. Please create a new registry value called “OldComboFont” (REG_DWORD) in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EmSoft\EmEditor v3\Common, and set 0. I will think about this issue in future versions.
OK, thank you! Before posting this suggestion I though there must be a reason for the bitmap font and it might be related to HDPI screens… Actually that’s a major reason that pushed me to upgrade from v10 to v16 on my new laptop.
Not an easy workaround, but when it’s done, what a pleasure to the eyes! :)
