– Added the List of Bookmarks command and Bookmarks custom bar.[PF]
– Added “Unlimited” to the Days text box for saving bookmarks on the History page of the Customize dialog,
  restoring the ability to save bookmarks permanently.[P]
– Improved the startup speed of EmEditor and enhanced performance related to bookmarks.[PF]

Thank you very much for your efforts regarding these issues!
I am particularly interested in the “bookmarks” issue.

A quick test revealed the following:

25.0.906 (x64) Pro (installed)

Test case 1
Bookmarks saved in lines 1, 3, 5 in file “Bookmarks_TEST.txt”:

Name/Ext		Size	Modified Date
Bookmarks_TEST.txt	28	14.05.2025 13:20

Results:
– File opened in EmEditor Pro (installed): OK
– > File opened in this path (different drive): I:\Data\Bookmarks_TEST.txt
  > File opened in this path (different drive): C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\Bookmarks_TEST.txt
    The bookmarks are NO longer displayed in the installed version!
– > File opened in EmEditor Pro (portable): Bookmarks are NOT displayed in the portable version!
– Then file opened in EmEditor Pro (installed): OK (the bookmarks were NOT removed from the portable version)
– > Changed the modification date from May 14, 2025, 1:20 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. WITHOUT saving the file again(!).
    Then open the file “Bookmarks_TEST.txt”: OK (the bookmarks were retained)

Test case 2
The bookmarks in the file “Bookmarks_TEST.txt” were accidentally deleted (Bookmarks > Delete Bookmarked Lines).
Afterwards, the bookmark in line 1 was deleted as desired and a new bookmark was created in line 2.

Results:
– All bookmarks were deleted: OK (due to my mistake)
– > Deleted bookmarks cannot be restored.
– > After recreating the bookmarks (without closing the file first), the modification date was NOT updated(!)
– > Bookmarks in line 1 deleted (CTRL+F2). Bookmarks in line 2 (CTRL+F2) created: modification date was NOT updated(!)
  This has the disadvantage for me that I cannot tell “from the outside” whether the contents of a file have been changed.
  By “from outside,” I mean that, for example, after updating the modification date, the file and other data related
  to this file are displayed in Total Commander in a color I have defined myself (for 10 minutes).

  The bookmarks are NO LONGER displayed in the portable version!

Bookmarks in the portable version, compatible with bookmarks in the installed version
or at least bookmarks in the same file on different drives are the most important points for me
that I consider to be open issues.

Please check.

PS:
By portable version, I mean that I have access to all settings, favorites, recently used files, etc.,
just as if I were using the installed version.
(As an example I can cite Total Commander Portable, which I use).

PPS:
Perhaps I could also get some advice on “Outlines” in the previous post,
so that I know how to deal with them.
