15.9.0 beta 3 crashes snippet on transformation

The follow snippet will crash the snippet engine:

Test value ${3:qts}
Transformed value : ‘${3/.*/\U\0/g}’

The idea is to make the value entered in the first line uppercase. The crash did not occur in 15.8. I had not tested beta 1 or 2 with the snippet that cause this problem. 15.8 was the last time I used it.
