ParticipantEmeditor 25.3.906 + Win11 64bit
In the ”Customize – AI Prompts…” page, within the Output drop-down list box, the ‘Discard’ option can no longer be set starting from some version.
After selecting it and clicking OK, an ‘Invalid parameter’ message appears.
This makes it impossible to output the AI results to the built-in Chat with AI window. In the “New Prompts…” page, the Output drop-down list allows selecting “Discard” to output to “Chat with AI”window, but this only applies to temporary prompts and cannot change the AI Bar.

KeymasterHello sky,
If you select “Discard”, you will also need to select “Save to Chat with AI” option.October 8, 2025 at 4:23 pm #30450sky
ParticipantIn EmEditor 25.3.906, when you select “Discard” , the “Save to Chat with AI” option is enabled (selected) by default, but it is grayed out and cannot be changed by the user.
It seems the program fails to correctly detect that the option is selected.
This issue does not exist in version 25.3.2.

KeymasterThis is by design: when “Discard” is selected, you can’t deselect “Save to Chat with AI.”

ParticipantYes, but when I select “Discard”, the “Save to Chat with AI” option is also enabled (selected).
However, when I press “OK” at this point, an error message appears, and I cannot complete the configuration in v25.3.906.8
Version 25.3.2 did not have this issue.October 9, 2025 at 10:02 am #30453Yutaka Emura
KeymasterI see. I will fix this issue on the next preview version. You can use “New Prompt” instead for now.
