Auto reload files

I would like the option to reload files of certain types automatically without prompting. perhaps a new option in the “Properties for Current/All Configuration(s)” dialog boxes?

This would be really handy for .log files, which I regularly need to monitor. For source files I like the prompting though, so it would be nice to decide which functionality you want based on the file type.

Alternatively, is there a way to accomplish this with macros or plugins?

Did you check “Changed by Another Program” drop-down list box in the File tab of Properties. This option can be set for each configuration.
