is it possible to create a button and associate a mouse/keyboard shortcut to run a macro?

You cannot create a button, but you can associate a keyboard shortcut to run a particular macro you created.

How? I see that you can set a keyboard shortcut to run the “selected” macro. Is there a way to set a multiple keyboard shortcuts to run different macros?? This seems to me to be a highly critical feature.

You can go to Keyboard map on the Help menu, and assign any keyboard to any macros.
