It would be nice if one could count the instances of a Find expression. Now one has to replace to see the number of matches (you can see this functionality in Notepad++ for example).

Please try to check “Count Matches check box” in Find dialog.
=> Refer to EmEditor help: If this is checked, EmEditor counts the occurrences of the matched string in the document. The result will be displayed in the status bar.

Thanks! Well, I still think it would be more intuitive as a “Count” button below “Find Next” for example. Now one has to check the box and then click “Find Next” and then uncheck the box.
