[Clicking in Quotes Selects the Whole String] is enabled.
When I click either of the two positions between > and ” in the text below, I can not put the cursor there by clicking. The arrow keys have to be used.
Click Here->” Or Here->”

Click position A;
Turn on vertical selection mode;
Click position B;
(A block is now selected;)
Move the cursor with the arrow keys.
* The size of the block won’t change visually, though further editing will prove that it did change.

A suggestion BTW:
Delete the vertical selection (from A to B);
Then Undo;
Then [Move to Last Edited Position].
I hope the current position is A, rather than the beginning of the last line of the selection.
