Convert above to string, and save file as sample.md.
You can reproduce the problem if you reopen saved file and set EmEditor to Markdown mode, then move the cursor behind the backslash of “..\..”, and then press backspace.
Was not possible for me to delete the backslash or even the delete key in markdown mode.

And in case I got your attention, please consider fixing dark mode, too. I don’t use it myself, but I can not get the young colleagues to use EmEditor with the seriously broken dark mode. E.g. in dark mode, the 3D borders have wrong color and there are way more issues with the theming.

Hi,

I decoded your hex string and was able to reproduce the deletion issue. I’ll look into what’s causing it, but please note that I’m not aiming to create a perfect Markdown editor. If you run into problems like this again, I recommend turning off the Markdown Design View mode.
