Don't find difference in Configuration

Hello,

I don’t know if it is the right forum, but I try.

I did uninstall my EmEditor and reinstall it with default settings. Now I want to find out the difference between Configuration ‘Text’ and ‘XML’.

When I work in XML-Files I want to select matching brackets <...> with Keyboard Shortcut (STRG+AKUT) but it don’t work. ForExample:

If I do so with Configuration ‘Text’ it work. Where is the difference and how can I config my install correctly.
