    EmEditor Professional 8.04 RC 1 is available for download. Updates from v8.03 include:

    – Fixed the bug that Shift-JIS files could be opened as UTF-8.

    Download:
    /pub/emed804rc1epx.msi (English, 32-bit)
    /pub/emed804rc1jpx.msi (Japanese, 32-bit)

    The portable version can be produced from the Import/Export wizard on the Tools menu after you use the installer. However, the portable version runs slower than one using the Registry.

    Please let me know earlier rather than later if you have any bug reports or comments. Thanks!

    Also the portable version speed very slow problem. since 8.01 version, on usb driver run & close The Emeditor Very Slow. Hope Check And Fix.Thanks. I Buy A New Flash Card And Resinstall Vista To Test, Result Is Same.

    I Want To Known, Other User Has Same Problem ? Pls Let Me Known. Thanks.

    I have seen this problem on the static version 8.02. It seems that something has been changed in 8.03.
    Now I have 8.03 installed that runs much faster than 8.02.
