emedtray.exe and memory

hello

emedtray.exe consumes 3K memory, can it be less? I mean it just sits there, it should not be loaded into memory, since emeditor is fast enough to start from begining

I just need a shortcut in system tray, but not a preload

Hi user,

Thanks for your comments! I might consider that in future versions.
If you are using Windows 7, you might not need the Tray Icon since the Task Bar EmEditor icon includes the Task menus that include most of the same menus as the Tray Icon.

Tools > Customize… > Shortcut > Display a tray icon to the task bar and Display a tray icon next time Windows starts
