Problem 1. From v.16.7.2, when a file is open or reload with Detect All Result dialog box, the “Encoding list box” will not show “Confidence” column by default.
v.16.7.1 is OK.

Problem 2. Although the “Appearance”, “Confidence”… columns width/position can be adjusted, but it will not save, therefore user need to adjust again next time…

One more question, if try to open “en_US.dic” in Dictionaries folder, the Confidence is 105, what is the unit?

The Problem 1 was fixed on v17.1.0 beta 1. The Problem 2 is common to most other list boxes used in EmEditor, but I might think about this in future versions.

The Confidence number comes from Windows API, and I am not actually sure how this was calculated.

Fresh v17.1.0 beta 1 portable,
The “Encoding list box” will not show “Confidence” column by default.
If adjust “Confidence” column by manual, close and then launch EmEditor, it still can not show “Confidence” column.
If enlarge the “Detect All Result dialog box” width, close and then launch EmEditor, it will show “Confidence” column.
