How can I type IVS characters?

I have IVS enabled fonts, but don’t know how to input those characters. Do I need a plugin?

I couldn’t find any detailed information on the forum.

If you know the Unicode value for the IVS character, you can input them via Insert Special Character dialog (ctrl-shift-I).
