Is it possible to change a text file from DOS (CRLF) to Unix (LF) or vice-versa with EmEditor?

Yes, when you save, select “Save As” from the File menu, and then select the correct return method (CRLF or LF) from the drop-down list box provided in the Save As dialog box. You can also select the special commands “Save As CR+LF”, “Save As LF Only”, etc., or you can use certain command line options to do a batch job.

    Thanks!

I was just looking at the wrong place in the menu (some other editors I previously used had it under edit or so).

My I make a suggestion: in the help index, maybe add cross-references under CR and LF to the save as options, and add a ‘EOL type’ or similar? This is where I would first look for help.

Thanks for a great editor! I am thoroughly pleased with EmEditor and will recommend it to everyone!

    Regards
