With EmEditor v10, Ctrl-Click can be used to open a URL (in additional to double-click). Has this feature been removed? I can’t find it in the Active String tab. Thanks.

Please go to the Customize dialog box, select Active String page, select URLs in the Type, Left Double-Clicked in the Event, and select Open URL with Default Program from the Action drop-down list.
Then, select Left-Clicked in the Event, and select None from the Action.

Thanks for your answer. I see double-click works this way; just wonder if left-click while holding Ctrl still works in v16.9, the same manner as in v10.

It should work. Please try it.

Yes I tried many times, but unfortunately it just didn’t work. A clean portable version was also used in the test.

To clarify, the expected behavior is:
    1. Double-click and Ctrl-click both open a URL.
    2. Single-click doesn’t.
This was my favorite configuration with v10 for a long time.

With v16.9, it’s easy to make double-click work and single-click not work. But Ctrl-click is not working here and I fail to find the configuration for it.

    Any insight is welcome. Thanks.

Wow, finally got the reason. “CTRL + Click to Select a Word check box” has to be enabled for Ctrl-click to open an URL (w/o selecting any word).

This feels a little vague. Could they have separate options? Thanks.
