Icons used in Symbol List

Another question/suggestion:

The icons used in symbol list are choosen based on the name of the kind of a symbol (e.g. ‘static int i;’ in a file xy.c results in a symbol from kind ‘variable’, in the symbol list ‘i’ is shown with a blue cube icon because it is of kind ‘variable’), is this correct?

It would be cool if there is a possibility to define this assignment between symbol-category-name and symbol-list-icon to make it easier to extend ctags with an additional language.
