Macro to insert specified text on specified line of multiple files.

I have a bunch of text files that were furnished to me by someone outside my office. The files are supposed to be used by our CNC equipment. Every file, however, has only a line feed character on line 278 of the file. The line should have “PUNCH5”, without the quotes, followed by the line feed character. Can someone help me with a macro to add the necessary information to all of the text files in the directory? I’m pretty sure EmEditor is capable of that; I’m the weak link that isn’t capable.

I am not completely sure what you want to do. Do you want to add “PUNCH5” at Line 278 of every file in a certain folder?
