Make Extract All line Separator character(s) optional

I upgraded to v16.2 recently and discovered the new line Separator feature on the Extract All function. The Extract All options dialog allows me to make Separator empty, so that there is no separator line, but that doesn’t seem to save globally. It seems to save only for the current editor session. It would be very useful to either make the Extract All line separator optional or to save the value entered permanently.
