Not a bug, per se, but rather an “inconvenience”. While the new ability in v7 to search using a multi-line string is convenient, it makes performing a quick find using the keyboard more cumbersome. Prior to v7, pressing the enter key after typing the search string would activate the “find down” action. Now it adds a new line to the search string. I rarely need to add a new line to the search string. I am in the habit of { Ctrl+f, type search string, enter ) to find a string. Now I can’t do that with the keyboard only (well without tabbing through every field in the dialog. I would love see a checkbox in the find dialog that would enable multi-line search strings and when disabled, the enter key would work like it used to. At the very least, Ctrl+enter should perform the search or something like that.
As an alternative or additional convenience, perhaps adding a hotkey to focus the find bar field would work. Does that exist already?
