How can I create a macro to sort open documents window by either name or modified. The macro recorder won’t do this.

You can record a macro, but it won’t record the column you select in CSV documents.
By the way, this is nothing to do with a plugin (you mentioned in your title). The EmEditor core program can record macros.

You misunderstood.

I AM talking about the open documents pane. It has options to sort documents by name. modified etc.

I often switch between these different views and so wanted to record a couple of macros so that I could use the keyboard to switch to, say, last modified file at the top.
