Opening some files results in unresponsive UI and high CPU usage 15.9.0.0 x64

After upgrading the 15.9.0.0 I have started to experience an issue where when opening some files the EmEditor instance becomes unresponsive and can only be closed via Task Manager, where it shows full usage of a CPU core.

An example of a file causing issues is https://raw.githubusercontent.com/grafana/grafana/master/docs/sources/plugins/index.md

Any ideas?

Hi Dan

EmEditor Version 15.9.0 didn’t misbehave when opening the file index.md in my case. Perhaps you are on the wrong track.
Could it be something else: Security software? Network connection?

Patrick,

I think I tracked it down, it seemed to be caused by the outline bar, resetting the settings for the outline bar to the defaults seems to have fixed the problem.

Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of what the configuration was before the reset, sorry.
