Outline plugin should choose level according to value set for "Tab columns"

When I choose to outline according to “Number of spaces”, I would like the outline pluging to take into consideration the number of columns I have set for each tab. Because I insert spaces for tabs, the levels of the outline don’t match the levels in my file.
