Projects Plugin: When the Editor Starts the Files View Appears Centered

If the project items pane is relatively narrow I noticed and now annoyed by the file names (I have the names really long) become hidden on the left and right, so each time the editor starts to make sure I open the correct file I need to move the lower/horizontal scroll bar left or right.
Instead, can it remember the last view? Or at least position the file names aligned to the right so one could see the tree structure?
