Riun Macro from Custom Menu?

Is there a way to run a macro from a custom menu?
The only option I see is to run a command.
Under the macro commands I do not see a way to specify a macro to be run by name – only to select one from a list.
I’d like to be able to invoke a macro using a “&” letter, in the same way as commands can be invoked.

Are you referring to a custom menu bar entry (Tools → Customise Menus)?

If yes: In my case this works. I can, for example, add
“M&y Custom Date” to the Insert menu and associate it with “My Macros → MyCustomDateMacro.jsee”

Inserting MyDate then is possible via
Alt+I Y

Perfect! I was not scrolling down far enough in the Customise Menus list to see “My Macros”.
