"Treat the following characters and alphanumeric" must reside in Properties of Configuration

In my opinion the setting “Treat the following characters and alphanumeric” belongs to the Properties of a Configuration (and/or all configurations).
Reason is, say in SQL I want to select an object name as a whole when it is [dbo].[MyTestTable], but not in a text file or any other code document.
