    Currently the major issue is that the icons are not designed for dark mode. The only way to fix this is to provide a different set of icons when switching to very dark or to apply some style sheet that transforms the current ones.

    To get an idea of the issue check out the dark mode implementation in Notepad++ (if I post links here my post is not published).

    spiros I agree.
    EmEditor’s very dark mode remains in beta version, unfortunately it has a lot of flaws. The very appearance of the editor interface, in particular the icons on the toolbar buttons, is outdated, and is at the level of Windows XP style, which is not very compatible with the dark mode.It would be good to refresh the interface by making it more modern, corresponding to Windows 10, using monochrome icons that effectively switch to dark mode.

    Yes, it is a great tool, but it can be made to look a lot sexier with some serious UI and design interventions.
