*** Virus *** in emed32_17.0.1.exe: CXweb/OddDld-A

I’m getting a virus message when I try to download emed32_17.0.1.exe:

“Virus/spyware ‘CXweb/OddDld-A’ has been detected on this site.”

We use Sophos Endpoint Security and Control v10.7

Your anti-virus software shows a false positive alarm. The EmEditor file is virus free as you can see from VirusTotal:

Your anti-virus software might point to the web page rather than the file itself, because of the way the web page allows you to download a file. In any case, I can positively assure that there is no virus in our website. We will contact the anti-virus software maker.
