If I set a FILTER (Filter Toolbar) in
– EmEditor v19.6 beta3 (19.5.93) x64 from 7.2.2020
– EmEditor v19.5 final
and then mark several lines, then there will be a crash.I do the line marking as follows:
1. Press the SHIFT-key AND down arrow key [right arrow key]
2. “Move over” with the mouse pointer and mark several lines, e.g. 6 linesI have not been able to reproduce the crash every time.
In addition, the last crash created these two folders in this path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\
– AppHang_ee256.exe_311d599a76b84ce1b051f35c135e254551a699_e0603c43_7f499ea6-66f2-4ded-aa4a-069ed143a1c9
– AppHang_ee256.exe_311d599a76b84ce1b051f35c135e254551a699_e0603c43_973dc2ce-9303-4a93-9fa3-e958bd768bb2
with content from a file called “Report.wer”.I can provide a video on request.

The problem does NOT occur if no filter has been set, i.e. then the line marking is easily possible without crash!

I am not sure what you mean by “mark several lines”. Do you mean Bookmark, or Auto-Marker, or a simple selection?
If EmEditor crashes, a crash report file will be created usually in the C:\ProgramData\Emurasoft\EmEditor\Error folder. Please email the most recent file (compressed to a Zip archive) to tech @ emurasoft.com as an attachment with the detail information including procedure to reproduce your issue.
You can also provide a video to explain the issue.
