EmEditor v14.4.5 beta 2 released!

Today, we are releasing EmEditor v14.4.5 beta 2. We would like to find as many bugs as possible before we release the new version. Please try it out now and let us know if you find any bugs.

Updates from v14.4.4 include:

New Features

• The Synchronize Outline Bar and Outline Guide command. This will synchronize the expand/collapse status of both the Outline Bar and the Outline Guide.
• The Max level and Initially drop-down list boxes for both the guide and custom bar in the Outline tab of configuration properties.
• The Outline tab of configuration properties now allows you to define up to 32 levels for the outlining.
• Further optimized code allows smaller executables despite of improved features.
• Improved the response time after cancelling when finding in very large files.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a certain issue related to outlining.
• Fixed a certain issue related to scrolling.
• Fixed other bugs.

I can’t reproduce both the issues you explained.
The Properties for All Configurations can be slower when using the portable version.
Which version of EmEditor are you using?
Please make sure you are using the latest version, currently v14.5.0.

I reproduced the issue with the Outline with narrowing, and I will fix this in future versions.
Are you using INI files (portable version)? The Properties for All Configurations can be slower when using the portable version.

It takes 2S to open the Properties for All Configurations with V14.5.
It takes the same time to close the Properties for All Configurations.

Hi Semel,

If you have assigned keyboard shortcuts (especially macros and/or plug-ins), EmEditor becomes slower.

If you don’t mind, can you reset all configuration properties. The easiest way is go to “Define Configurations” dialog box, and click “Reset All”.
