Escaped single and double quotes "\"" and '\'' problems

Using Version 16.0.2
Escaped single and double quotes are not being acknowledge in the text configuration. To replicate:
– open any empty Untitled-X document
– type
“\”” ~ a ~ B ~ “1234” ~ hello
– type
“” ~ a ~ B ~ “1234” ~ hello

This last one, is correct. But the one above it displays wrong. Replace the double quotes with single quotes and you will see the same behavior. Thanks.

Can you please explain what the problem is? Is this about CSV documents, or highlighting problems?

Please make sure a backslash (\) is specified in the Escape Character text box in the Highlight (2) tab of configuration properties.
