ParticipantThank you Yutaka,
But my issue is the absense of exact positioning.
SSMS works as per specs, why not the same is possible in EMEditor?
This makes me tweaking page setup.

ParticipantI would love to have the tag matching in SQL. Well in SQL only perhaps applicable when you deal with an XML variable, so I think once I know what is that I can live with it.
Thank You!

ParticipantAwesome, even did not know this existed!
Thank you.
PS: I think saving the cursor position perhaps should be a separate setting as not always I want to save the bookmarks.

ParticipantOK, got the repro for you:
1) Start a new EMEditor session;
2) Create a new SQL file; and
3) Type in or even paste
<1
>
There 1 can be a letter as well.
Click inside (the line after 1), you will get the entire scope grayed

ParticipantHi Yutaka,
I will and for now trying to repro the issue.
Looks like it is tied to specific symbols.
E.g. in my case when I just hit an area below a < (less sign) I get the background grayed out:

ParticipantHi Yutaka,
Aha, but I use the line numbering feature already, and in the theme “Blue” the aforementioned functionality does not work – turned out it does in “EMEditor Classic” scheme.
It seems in “EMEditor Standard” it does not work either. But after you save the file the “boldified” line numbers are gone.
I’d say it would be a super good addition to EMEditor.

ParticipantHello Yutaka,
Awesome!
This does help.

ParticipantI did not see such a setting and i think it slightly defeats the purpose of using an “editor”.
However, I think it would not be too difficult to add a tool that passes the currently open file to a viwer or even write such a plugin.
I am also curious under what circumstances such a capability is really useful?February 7, 2012 at 4:57 pm in reply to: Suggest to display the string length when highlighted #9971ArthurZ
ParticipantOh, my bad, did not know so obvious, and glad it is already there.
Thank you!ArthurZ
ParticipantLooks right what I need and my bad, just overlooked it, still new to EmEditor.
