ParticipantThanks. Wow. I was trying all of these different search/replace, but it’s much simpler. Thanks again.

ParticipantOk, that works somewhat, but then I have to take the tabs out. What would be nice is,
Step 1. Press “Ctrl + A” (Select all, or select the lines desired)
Step 5. Press “Alt + N” (Numbering…)
Step 6. First Line = 001 , Increment = 1, Insert in column: 0
Step 7. “OK”Step 6 is a new choice in the numbering function that would allow entry of numbers or sequential characters in the column chosen. Column 0 is before column 1.

ParticipantIt’s a highlighting problem. I can take a screen shot and show you, but I don’t think I can attach anything on the forums.

ParticipantFYI:
I’ve replicated this problem also. Worked fine in 15.8.x, and after updating to 15.9.0, it brings that prompt. In the New Features of the new 15.9.0, it states,The settings for Undo buffer is obsolete. Instead, the physical memory size is used to determine whether the Undo should be retained. The physical memory threashold can be set in the Advanced tab of the Customize dialog box.
which may be related. I tried other regexp searches and replaces, and these worked fine.

ParticipantI still insist that this is a great change in this ultimate text editor. I love EmEditor and I will not stop using, but, this will be a feature that would make me love it even more. Thanks for thinking about it.

ParticipantHi.
I think this is something really needed. I use this process of checking differences on pieces of data, and it’s hard to identify which piece of data is which. I have to add a line on each screen to be able to identify screen. Please consider adding unique names to the tabs. Thanks.

ParticipantSo easy. Thanks.
jic
ParticipantYou’re welcome. You have the best editor ever. Thanks.
jic
ParticipantSo, can this be done at all, or should I place it in the suggestion box?
jic
ParticipantI guess the code part did not work, but there is a piece of the string that shows the desired capture. Thanks.

ParticipantSorry, repost…

Participantthanks, this is great, but the default value does not get automatic filled, but instead, the *.txt option always fills the File Types: choice. It should fill it with the set default value. Thanks.
jic
ParticipantThanks so much for the response. I think you misunderstood the question. I know how to do this disassociate the file types, however, what I would like is to open a found search of a .TTX file (Note .TTX and not .TXT) with the default application which is a Trados Tag Editor isntead of EmEditor. Thanks.
