Today, we are releasing EmEditor v18.6.0 beta 2 (18.5.92).

Updates from beta 1 (18.5.91) include:

  • Restored the Enable Multiple Selecitons check box in the Edit page of the Customize dialog box.
  • Added the Match Whole String button to the Filter toolbar.

Notes: Beta versions are updated frequently. In order to update automatically to future beta versions, please select Select Update Channel on the Help menu, and select Betas.

If you the Desktop portable version, you can go to the Download page to download the newest version. The Store App versions can be updated through Microsoft Store (64-bit or 32-bit) after a few days.

  • Allows you to use the cell function when JavaScript is used for a replacement expression. For example,
\J cell( -1 )returns the text in the left neighbor cell, relative to the matched cell.
\J parseFloat( cell( -1 ) ) + parseFloat( cell( -2 ) )returns the sum of the two neighboring cells on the left
