I think, at least in the status bar, “0x” is not necessary.
    And I think “0x0D 0x0A” would be better than “0xD 0xA”.

    Add for issue 7:
Currently searching for “+c” or “+s” might be the most inefficient search, which matches “+Ctrl” or “+Shift”.

    —————
    Suggestion 1:
Is it possible to make it match all the words in all the text, not only in one column? For example, “+c copy” can match the line:
    Edit | Copy Lines(s) | Alt+C | …
(Currently it never searches in “Category” column?)

    Suggestion 2:
Hope one can copy the cell(s), e.g. only the command name(s) in the selection, via the menu.

    —————
    Issue A:
    Search “+w” in Commands.
There are 2 “Ctrl+W”. The 2nd is not correct.

    Issue B:
Unable to use Up key in the History dropdown.

    Issue C:
Hope one can jump to the option by D-clicking in Keyboard Map.

    Issue D:
Unable to keep “Keymap Settings: All Configurations” checked in Quick Launch. It’s the specs?

    Issue E:
Since “Keymap Settings: All Configurations” is only a single option, why should it use a dropdown/submenu?

    Issue F:
“Keymap Settings: All Configurations” is checked.
Select an item and open the Properties.
    The dialog opens immediately.
** But when you cancel the dialog, the return is apparently slower.
Is it because of the refreshment of the list?
But since the operation is “cancel”, the refreshment is not necessary.

    Issue G:
When the 1st line in the list is focused and another line(s) is selected, pressing Up key should change the selection first, rather than move focus to the Search box.

    Issue H:
    Search “F9” in Options.
There are 3 results that include the text “[F2] to Edit[F9] to Toggle”.
But the text are hidden initially in the UI.
How about just setting them grayed instead of hidden?

    Issue I:
Bookmarks.dll has no Command name in the list.

    Issue J:
Even though “Play Sound to Alert” option is off,
Keyboard Map (Quick Launch) would play a sound (“Default Beep” in the system sound scheme) when focus is in Search box and I press Esc/Tab/Enter key, or Alt+C/O/S, or Ctrl+Shift+O/S.

    Issue K:
Neither of the 2 “Close All without Save” commands work when triggered in Keyboard Map (Quick Launch).

    Suggestion:
Is it possible to add a “Close All without Save (Current Group Only)” command for daily use, to gain both convenience and cautiousness. When using it, I won’t have to worry whether other windows exist.

    —————
    Issue 1:
“Open in: New Tab” is set.
Grab text from an EmEditor window.
** The new “(Grabbed Text)” tab is empty.

    Issue 2:
“Open in: New Window” is set.
    Grab text.
    Edit the grabbed text.
Use “Close without Save” command in the “(Grabbed Text) *” window.
** But the changed text is sent back nevertheless.

I guess this is caused by the recent change.
I want to withdraw my suggestion on (and only on) “Close without Save” command, not only because of this, but also because I feel that using “Close without Save” command in a “(Grabbed Text)” window should close the window directly. So if there’s no better solution, please take bother to restore “Close without Save” command. Sorry for that.

    —————
    Issue 3:
Is it possible to make the “(Grabbed Text) *” window have no “*” in the title initially?
I notice the initial status when we edit a snippet in a tab, which has no “*”.

    —————
    Issue 4:
Enable “Do Not Close Last Document by Selecting Close Command”.
    New window.
    Open a file.
    Split.
    Close the tab.
    Should the split persist?

    Issue 1-2:
Once hovered over, the tooltip would seize the focus and block the typing from then on. I have to switch away and back (e.g. via Alt+Tab) to let EmEditorView regain the focus. Clicking in EmEditorView could break the snippet processing.
So is it possible to set the tooltip unfocusable?

    Issue 2:
Move mouse from Find (Quick Launch, etc.) dialog to the main window.
EmEditorView will not get the focus (i.e. no text cursor blinking).

    Issue 3:
Open a file in a new window.
If it prompts (for newline-inconsistent or encoding), the dialog could be blocked by other windows, especially when X-Mouse is enabled, or there is an always-on-top window.
So I hope the Taskbar button will be present in such cases, to let the user know there’s a window. This is not only for X-Mouse.

    Thanks for all the fixes.
I should have been more patient.
Maybe you could mark a pending issue with just “will fix” or “wont fix” next time, to end our nagging and save your attention. :)
How about using something like GitHub’s colorful labels to make the status of an issue clear at a glance?

And I think I should report issues one per thread.

    Issue 3:
Type “x” and add some empty lines below it.
    Filter with “x”.
** The last 2nd empty line remained in the view.

    Issue C:
Is it possible to implement that an operation (e.g. Ctrl+Enter) can override the rule to make an exception for once?

OK it’s only a color issue.

Current line background color = Custom (Any color).

Then you do it again and note the color.

See if you can reproduce it with this simplified procedure:

    Default column width = 10
    CSV mode.
Fill up the view vertically (e.g. by just duplicating the first line) till the first 2+ lines are out of the view.

Then add this line at the bottom:
    1234567890xxx,

    Filter with “xxx”.

Adjust Separator Positions (Visible Lines Only).
** You should only see “1234567890” if the issue occurred.

    Hello Makoto,
    はじめまして。

    My default encoding is CP-936.
    Yes it is widely used.

    Another issue:
The fields are using auto width.
But when in UTF-8, the widened field often does not shrink for fewer codes.

    >The Adjust Separator Positions (Visible Lines Only) command should adjust separator positions only on filtered text.
No, “(Visible Lines Only)” works only on visible lines, not the whole filtered text.
I think “(Whole Document)” should do this when the view is a filtered result. Otherwise another new command has to be added.

And currently “(Visible Lines Only)” has some bug:
Sometimes all the columns shrink to minimum (the “Default column width” setting) when using “(Visible Lines Only)” on filtered text.
I’ll try to find the reason later if you are not able to reproduce it.

    —————
    Issue 2:
The empty EOF line should not be counted as a matched line.

    —————
    Suggestion:
Hope the status can show the current line number according to the filtered result, like: Ln (123) 999, Col 5.
Or even better: display double columns in Line Numbers area for the filtered result.

I see. Thank you for the change.

    —————
    Issue C:
“Never and Keep Original Text when Completes” is used.
Then when I really want to choose the candidate string, what should I do?
    For example,
    Type “unes”.
    The list gives “UNESCO”.
    How do I choose it?

    —————
    Issue D:
2 empty lines. (The 2nd is EOF.)
Type “aa” in the 1st line. The red wiggly line shows.
Move cursor to the 2nd line.
** The red wiggly line vanished.

    —————
    Issue 4-2-2:
Note the 2 lines marked with **:

    WordComplete properties:
    “Options” page:
    Number of Characters: 5.

    Type “strin”.
    The candidate list shows.

    Press Backspace key.
    Now it’s “stri”.
    The list closed.

    Show the list manually.
    Press Backspace key.
    Now it’s “str”.
    The list persists. Nice.

    Press Backspace key.
    Now it’s “st”.
    ** The list closed again.

    Show the list manually again.
    Type “r”.
    Now it’s “str”.
    ** The list closed again.

In sum, I think the manually shown list should persist till the user closes it.

Tests with default settings show that this block is not working for some encodings.

    BTW suggestion:
I hope the encoding can be changed in a new empty tab.

    Suggestion 1:
    WordComplete Properties:
Is it possible to add an option (for when “Priority” setting is “Last Used Word First”):
The words according to “Dictionaries” options take priority initially (i.e. when I enable WordComplete, and whenever I open a document).

    Suggestion 2:
Hope the 3 commands (Lowercase/Uppercase/Capitalize) can handle the current word when there’s no selection.

    Suggestion:

After a period of using, I feel it would be better to have 2 commands:
    Use DirectWrite in this tab.
    Use DirectWrite in all tabs/windows.

    Or add an option:
Synchronize Text Rendering (in all tabs/windows).

    Issue 1+:
Large UserMenus are slower since v.92.
I guess 2-step key scanning is the reason.

    Issue 2+:
I reassigned the 7 keys and they seem well now.
I guess this issue had something to do with this annoying issue:
    https://www.emeditor.com/forums/topic/shortcut-key-issues/#post-22837
which seems to have been fixed. You must have done something. Thank you!

    Issue 1-2:
“Character Code at Cursor” block is wider now, but is always blank. It’s only for clicking?

    By the way,
Though it doesn’t matter, in the menus for the blocks, we usually want to see “…” if it’s a 2-step item, e.g.:
    Character Code Value…
    Jump…
    Reload…

    Issue A:
    “Show Execution Time” is checked.
Run a macro like this one:
    document.selection.Find( str, eeFindNext | eeFindCount )
    Or this:
    status = str
** In the status bar, the text will be flushed away by the Execution Time.
Is it possible to optimize such issues, rather than one has to add codes to disable “Show Execution Time” option in the macros?

All the WordComplete properties are reset in v17.7.93? While its registry data survive.
Do I have to rebuild the settings from zero? Or should I wait for another fix?

    Select the text:
    [aaa]

    Use this snippet: ${0:${SelText/.(.+)./\1/}}

    Now the selected text is:
    aaa

    Press { key.

    Now the text is:
    {aaa}

    Undo.
    ** Now the text is:
    [aaa]

    I think it should be:
    aaa

    Issue 2-3:
Spelling Suggestion doesn’t work when cursor is at the end of the word touching a number, or a non-Latin character. (Where there’s a red wiggly line.)
In a word, is it possible to make Spelling Suggestion work when cursor is at the end of ANY red wiggly line?

    Issue 2-4:
Is it possible to make “Find Macro Keyword” command also obey such rules?

    —————
    Issue 4-2:
However, I think the candidate list should persist if it is shown manually.

    —————
    Issue A:
Happens only when “Delay Time” = 0.
Can be reproduced by just holding down any alphanumeric key.
It stutters only when either of the two “Never” options is used.

The dictionary is the default en_US.dic.
