How do you count the number of identical lines in a document?

It is often useful to understand what the most commonly occurring values are in your dataset. In other tools, this may be referred to as a count function or an aggregation.

1. Go to Search | Extract Frequent Strings….
2. Choose how you want to count the values. Read EmEditor Help for Extract Frequent Strings to learn what each of the options are used for.
3. Click OK, and the results will be shown in a new document.
