EmEditor Professional v10.1.1 released!

Today, we are releasing EmEditor Professional v10.1.1.

Updates from 10.1.0 include:

– Fixed the bug where, in the CSV/TSV mode, text in one row could stick out to the next row.

– When the “Incremental Search”, “Use Regular Expressions”, and “Count Matches” check boxes are checked in the Find dialog box, the new version suppresses the warning message even if only a backslash is entered.

– Fixed the bug where selecting “Customize” multiple times in the Jump List of the Windows 7 Task Bar brings up multiple “Customize Menus” dialog boxes. Also fixed the bug where the multiple “Customize Tray Icon” dialog boxes could appear.

– Fixed the bug where MS Office IME 2010 did not run even when the “Run Input Method Editor” check box on the General tab of configuration properties was selected.

– Fixed the bug where EmEditor sometimes crashed when the Narrowing feature was set and when the Clipboard contents were pasted vertically.

– Fixed a certain Thai Language display issue.

– Fixed a certain Paste in Quotes and Returns issue.

EmEditor Professional v10.1.0 released!

Today, we are releasing EmEditor Professional v10.1.0.

Updates from 10.0.8 include:

– Fixed the bug that during uninstalling or updating, Explorer is displayed as a list of used files, and Explorer may spontaneously close during uninstalling or updating. The bug fix is enabled after this version is uninstalled, so you still might experience the bug when you update to this version.

– Fixed the bug where printing files in the Binary (Hexadecimal view) mode.

– Fixed the bug that when a very large CSV/TSV file is opened, there is a long pause after the file is finished opened.

– Fixed the bug where eeupdate.exe is still run even when “Do not check updates” is selected for the Update Checker options.

– After opening a file as CSV/TSV mode, when reloading the file, the file used to switch to the normal mode. Now it will not switch to the normal mode.

– Fixed the bug of the Paste with Quotes and Returns command.

– Fixed the bug of the hexadecimal escape sequence (x{hhhh}) for the replace string.

– A part of the Help was translated into the Korean language.

Paid upgrades for licenses purchased on or after November 1, 2011

Paid upgrades for licenses purchased on or after November 1, 2011

We have been providing free upgrades for EmEditor Professional from v4 through v10. We realize that this is a major benefit for users, and we thoroughly appreciate your participation and support. Unfortunately, due to the recent difficult economic climate, it has become impossible for us to continue offering free upgrades to all users.

Thus, in order to allow us to continue the development of EmEditor, for users who purchase new licenses on or after November 1, 2011, upgrades will be paid. We plan to keep the upgrade fee as low as possible.

Licenses purchased before November 1, 2011 will be the same as before. They are eligible to be upgraded for free as long as they are registered at the Emurasoft Customer Center. The date of purchase can be verified in your purchase history at the Emurasoft Customer Center.

Currently, EmEditor programs are separated into the trial and the full-version. Switching from the trial to the full version requires you to first uninstall the trial and then install the full-version. Beginning with v10.1.0, the trial will become the same as the full-version (as it was in v8 and earlier), and simply entering a registration key during the trial will switch the program to the full-version. We hope that this will make your use of EmEditor smoother and more intuitive. Thank you.

Deadline for product registration for free upgrades

The product registration for free upgrades from EmEditor Professional v8 or earlier that we offer at the Emurasoft Customer Center will end on October 31, 2011. In order to ensure smooth upgrades in the future, if you have a license for EmEditor Professional v8 or earlier, but have not registered your license for a free upgrade, please register your license at Emurasoft Customer Center for the upgrade before November 1, 2011. If you do not register your licenses, the future upgrade eligibility, whether free or paid, will expire.

– Worked around the issue where some customers experience EmEditor may close a few seconds after launched with the error message: “A program file has been corrupted. Uninstall, download, and install the product again.”

Today, we are pleased to announce the release of EmEditor Professional v10.0.7.

Updates from v10.0.6 include:

– Fixed the bug where CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER might not have worked properly for the Snippets plug-in.

– Fixed the bug where the underline type for the current line settings on the Display tab of configuration properties did not work.

– Fixed certain issues with the Find dialog when the “Count Matches” check box is checked.

– Fixed a certain issue with the Menu customization.

– Worked around a part of the issue with avast! anti-virus program. However EmEditor does not fully support avast! Please add the EmEditor install path to the avast! exception settings.

– Added Indonesian and Armenian as the user interface language.

Zen Coding macros and snippets v0.7 released!

Emurasoft updated Zen Coding macros and snippets to support Zen Coding v0.7. This is based on the latest stable version v0.7 directly ported from Zen Coding project.

Zen Coding macros and snippets

New commands include “Evaluate Math Expression”, “Decrement number by 0.1/1/10”, and “Increment number by 0.1/1/10”.

Today, we are pleased to announce the release of EmEditor Professional v10.0.6.

Updates from v10.0.5 include:

– Fixed the bug where opening the Replace dialog box could crash EmEditor.

– Fixed the bug where the color print did not draw underlines properly.

– Fixed the bug where the status bar information was incorrect on selecting a menu item when the toolbar titles are disabled,

We were shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of life and damage caused by the devastating earthquake and tsunamis occurred in Japan on March 11th, 2011. Our hearts go out to those who have been affected. Today, we donated JPY 1,000,000 to the Japanese Red Cross Society. It is a little money but we hope it will help some lives and people in the affected area. We sincerely extend our deepest sympathies to all concerned during this difficult time.
